Highest Water Rates Increase in Almost 20 Years

This year households in England and Wales will be effected by the largest rise in water rates in almost 20 years. As of April 2023 the average water bill will cost us £448.

This 7.5% increase will cost the customer about £1.23 each day, seeing an additional 8p per day and totalling an increase of £31 on last year’s charges. With the cost-of-living crisis in full swing, consumer groups are concerned the further charges will struggle to pay.
